Solo Mission

We can’t measure our goodness by what we don’t do…by what we deny ourselves, what we resist and who we exclude…

We must measure our goodness by what we embrace and create and who we include…

32 riders and a few extra husbands and friends hanging out, no one was left behind…

Each day we worked on horsemanship, worked cattle and started colts…we didn’t even make it to a packing demo or shoeing demo… people from Canada to Texas and Pennsylvania to California all came together… many not knowing each other … joined together to make the first solo mission after 18 some years of having a partner to team with —

a family reunion not a clinic … that’s the best way to put it… everyone chipped in… it mattered not what the task at hand was from helping the kids start colts to grilling on the BBQ…my home became their home… Their lives became a part of mine…
it truly is very hard to describe… kids from 18 to late sixties…but what I learned was…Editwhen we truly do not concern ourselves with who gets the credit -there is no end to what we can accomplish…. a few highlights …
