Personal Momentum

So — to start 2016! With a bang — I have Peter’s clinic schedule done, a calendar done! Girls clinics almost all booked and organized! I am climbing the exciting ladder in my Thrive business! The ranch, ponies and other creatures (including a sugar glider) are prospering in the sunny days!

And Your Inner Cowgirl — well she’s learning — she’s taking hard looks in the mirror and truly asking herself if her inner momentum is carrying or building — A friend once told me if we aren’t out of our comfort zone 80% of the time we aren’t growing and learning — And here I sit – At a Starbucks drinking a foo foo Starbucks! I’m not a coffee drinker per se — but every once in a while enjoy one!

Sometimes personal momentum isn’t doing more – in a physical sense (although I need that too!) But I never seem to have time to blog anymore — so to intrigue myself –I am going on short adventures- I have my laptop – a cup of coffee and I am people watching — how they react with others, what they order? what they are wearing!

I am not judging just watching — and of course the first thing to intrigue me is 3 lovely elderly ladies in a corner — one wearing a beautiful pink rock necklace and white sweater… another outfitted in a sleek off-white leather jacket and last a maroon sweater that honestly reminds me of the 80’s! But what I find is that they are all well presented… Hair done, make up on, clean fitting clothes and they are all smiling while telling a tale…

The table beside them – ironically 3 young ladies — each of them well presented for their age, the blingy jeans, messy buns, uggs and a cell phone…. my heart sinks —

I understand we are a fast food, instant service (ahem I am typing on a state of the art laptop) hurry quick society… But my word — I watch the era of the older gals — and you can see a warmth… a friendship… that has carried them through the years… a sparkle in their eye!!!

My younger generation the only sparkle I see is when the cell phone dings — but alas I move on — it is more intriguing and brings more joy to my heart to watch this beautiful group of older ladies… I close my eyes and think of me, older with my gals– that have stood by me through thick and thin… and can so totally picture this will be us….

I have to admit this is kinda fun – I think a blogging trip to New York to check out Coffee Shops! It’s very cosmopolitan in Cheyenne, Wyoming from City girls, to mom and daughters… to my lovely trio of ladies —

So — in my personal momentum — what am I learning? 1! I am learning to clear my brain and focus on one thing (hahaha…) 2! I am taking note of our older generation (not meaning older disrespectful in any way) and how important it is truly take time for yourself — you can wear a sweatshirt and sweat pants — or you can wear a clean sweater and a pair of jeans or yoga pants(properly fitting) — it takes 30 seconds to add a necklace a scarf or a nice jacket… Innerly, I see how the sparkle in their eye, warmth of their smile when they tell their glorious tales and overall posture all brings me to believe I must treasure my moments when I am face to face with people, learn to feel the soul more in their words… treasure the story no matter how trivial I think it might be…

2015 — I worked hard to be more positive and the reflection of that was amazing adventures, prosperity in my business and personal growth that topped the charts — 2016 I will continue being positive and doing one random act of kindness per day! I hope you will join me on one random act of kindness —

And with that I must run — I see a soldier about to order his coffee — I’m buying!!!
